Good Friday is observed by Christians across the world as the day the son of Christ, Jesus, died on the cross for our sins.
It is traditionally a day to avoid eating red meat, fish is enjoyed on this day instead and fish and chips shops around the world are very popular (it is always recommended to get your order in early). And if you're on a fishing holiday remember to pack a can of tuna just in case luck is not on your side and you fish the day catchless.
Many go to church on this day for a special Good Friday church service.
Around the world shops close to observe this holiday, and several entertainment services can only open after 1pm.
