Forme Australia store in Sth Yarra Closes Down
Furniture and homewares shop with a lot of "must-have" pieces has closed down.
Forme's Cecil St South Melbourne store closed down earlier this year and had a good relocation sale of their display furniture.
Forme's Toorak Rd Sth Yarra store closed with less notice in August 2010.
The Forme Australia website has a very short message to visitors:
"Forme Australia has ceased trading. Thank you for your patronage."
The Sth Yarra shop window has a message of thanks to customers plus something about developers (the traffic was flowing surprisingly well on Toorak Rd and I mised the exact message, I was also in shock at missing the closing of a favourite shop).
Across from where Forme Australia once stood there is a new shopping centre opened up with standard shops that didn't appear to have the same designed-inspired furniture, homewares and frames that Forme carried.
