Decoration ideas for a baby shower alphabet theme

Make some bunting to hang around the room, or deck. Either sew, or iron on, a letter to each triangle of fabric to spell out the alphabet. This can then be a gift for the mum-to-be's nursery.
Cupcakes with the ABCs on them. You can either stick with a few of the letters at the start of the alphabet, or include all 26. You can find edible alphabet letters at local supermarkets, cake decorating stores and some markets. Sometimes there are alphabet letter biscuits so check the confectionery aisle, the biscuit aisle and the cake supplies aisle at your supermarket to make sure you find what you want. If you want to make your letters you can find biscuit/chocolate alphabet letter cutters online, or at your local kitchen store like Matchbox, House, Myer, or Minimax.
Pick up a set of alphabet blocks and place them decoratively around the food table. This can then be a gift for the mum-to-be's nursery.

Baby Shower food for alphabet theme

You can make all the standard fare for this baby shower including cucumber sandwiches, quiches and dips, but an added touch of the theme can be included in the decoration of some foods.

Cupcakes decorated with a letter of the alphabet on top. Place them on a tray with the first few letters of the alphabet along with a few cupcakes decorated in blues and pinks.
Cookies. Use alphabet cookie cutters to make some delicious butter cookies. Again you might want to stick with the letters A B and C for this, or cut out the entire alphabet and place them all on a tray.

Use the alphabet to get guests to think of names for the baby. Guests must all think of unique (and real) names for the new baby using each letter of the alphabet. The winner is the guest with the highest number of unique names after checking with the group to see what answers they had for each letter.
