Nappy Game
Everyone takes a turn putting a nappy onto a doll, time each person to see who is quick-wrap-mcgraw. Best to use a cloth nappy for this instead of several disposable nappies. Points will be deducted for jabbing the doll with the pin.
Items you'll need for the nappy game at eBay
Depending on the number of guests you have you can run this game with everyone at once, or in groups.
To play this game at your baby shower you will need:
- dolls (either one for each guest, or enough for a third of the group to put the nappy on during each round). Scrounge around the house for old Cabbage Patch Dolls, Baby Alive or other dollies. If you can't find enough dolls you cn improvise with teddy bears, or even
- nappies . Using cloth nappies is a less wasteful way to play this game. You can also give the the nappies to the mum-to-be for her use. Or you can use some colourful baby themed fabric and give that to the mum-to-be for her to use in the nursery.
- nappy pins or clips or snappi nappy fasteners . Nappy pins are bigger than the usual safety pin, they might be hard to find now with the invention of plastic nappy clips. If you are trying to find old-style nappy pins you might have the best luck with an aunt or your own mum.
- stop watch to time the guests.
- prize. You can choose to give a prize to only the fastest, or the top three.
How to play:
- Either give each guest a nappy, doll and nappy pin, or for larger parties divide your guests up into groups and give the members of each group a doll, nappy and nappy pin in turn.
- Count down and start the stop watch when guests start the nappy challenge.
- If you are doing this in a large group with rounds, repeat step 2 with the remaining guests.
- Once you have a winner in each group, it is finals time. The top nappy wrappers now face off for the title of "quick wrap mcgraw".
- Bestow a prize on the fastest, or top fastest wrappers.
